Managing a herd of 145 cows in Fountainstown, Co. Cork, Ireland, Brian Connolly has deployed the Moonsyst Smart Bolus Solution. The areas where Brian feels he will get most benefit from the solution are:

• Optimising reproduction rates and reducing the labour requirements during the Spring breeding season.
• Early sickness monitoring, particularly e coli mastitis
• General activity and water intake monitoring

Recently Brian managed to get away for a few days and he got great comfort being able to log in and ensure the cow’s drinking behaviour was normal, especially as it was exceptionally warm. He has trialled the system since early 2022 and is moving to a full deployment across the herd by the end of this year.
